For Dry Stools

Q. What is the best form of enema for very dry stools?

A. Warm oil is best in such a case. Use from four ounces to half a pint of olive oil at a temperature of 109° F. Take care to see that the oil is perfectly sweet. Rancid oil might do much mischief. Hot soapsuds may be used in stead of oil. The solution of soap should not be so strong as to be irritating.
