Dry Mouth

Q . What is the cause of dryness of mouth and tongue at night?

A. The cause may be sleeping with the mouth open or a feverish condition. Mouth breathing is almost always due to nasal obstruction. If due to fever at night there is perhaps ground for suspicion that some chronic disease, as tuberculosis of the lungs, may be getting a foot hold.
